I was a bridesmaid for my brothers wedding on September 24th. The ONLY thing that went wrong was the service we received by the limo company. Our experience with Bermuda Limousine went from bad to worse.
I'll start with explaining the "bad". The limo was so late that we had to call the company to find out where our ride was. We were told the limo was right around the corner, so we all went out and waited in the rain. As you can probably imagine, six girls and one 4-year-old ring bearer all huddled under 1 umbrella watching the minutes tick by wasn't exactly nerve calming. Finally the limo showed up, and out came the driver, dressed quite casually, explaining she didn't know her way. We were just glad the limo was finally here and told her no big deal. We all piled in and told the bride that this is her time to relax and breathe. Well, tough luck... the bride had to pay attention to the road and call out directions to the driver the whole time. Meanwhile, back at the ceremony all the guests had arrived and were anxiously awaiting the brides arrival and some cracking jokes that the groom was being jilted. We finally arrived, had a beautiful ceremony, and then got back into the limo for pictures at an apple orchard. Our guests looked on as the driver awkwardly maneuvered the vehicle through the parking lot and again, the driver had to have directions called out to her. The driver was a very nice lady, but this company’s unprofessionalism and lack of preparation caused a lot of un necessary stress, but we carried on with the rest of our festivities.
We thought our experience with this company was done... we weren't exactly happy with them, but not outraged either. But, as I say above, our experience with Bermuda Limousine got a whole lot worse. Hours later, and part way through dinner, my father (who is also the grooms father) was interrupted by a tap on his shoulder by Kendall Mccaugherty, owner of Bermuda Limousine. Kendall explained that us girls had tracked mud into the vehicle and was demanding that my father pay him $300 for cleaning. This man was right at the head table, within ear shot of the bride and groom, so my father asked him to step out side to discuss the matter. My father argued with Kendall and told him that $300 was outrageous all the while, trying to block Kendall’s way from going back into the reception and further disrupting his sons wedding day. He didn’t even bring the limo back for us to see, he came in a completely different limo. I’m assuming this is because he didn’t want to take the chance that we’d just shake off the removable mat, grab a broom and sweep it ourselves. Kendall then tried the "nice guy routine" and told my father that because he wants to be a nice guy and not ruin the day, he'll cut it in half and will only take $150 to go away, otherwise he was going to crash the wedding and bring the argument to the bride and groom who were inside enjoying their special day. My father, who had nothing to do with the limo service and was a guest at this wedding had to cough up $150 (having to ask other guests to spot him some of the cash - how embarrassing!) to avoid a scene at his sons wedding. He also had to miss a chunk of the wedding, including watching the first dance. We had been hoping my father would be able to have a first dance with his new daughter-in-law but instead, he was outside arguing with Kendall over a little mud on a removable car mat.
Since this is a matter that should have been discussed between the company and renter, my brother (the groom) called Kendall on Monday. Kendall insisted on discussing it in person, so my brother went all the way out to Harrowsmith. Kendall refused to give the money back, and when my brother asked why he couldn't have waited until Sunday or Monday to solve the matter, Kendall said himself it was because he knew he would get the money AT the wedding, rather than waiting until the wedding was over with. He took advantage of my family while they were in a vulnerable position and would have done anything for the day to be perfect. I have a feeling this was not the first time Kendall has pulled this scam on families and that is why I am writing this review.

DeleteWait... "Morgan", according to some of your reviews, you're a VERY satisfied customer and even over use the word "fabulous" to describe your experience as a customer. Now (and in some other posts) you're a representative of the company???
ReplyDeleteGet your story straight. It's funny that you post so much about honesty, yet you won't be honest about the fact that you're the owners wife and not in fact a "happy customer". I'd be embarrassed too, if I was married to a crooked owner of a limo company where all the limo's are literally falling to pieces, but either be honest in your posts, or don't post at all. It's insulting to the few customers you have left.
